Welcome to Villan!
Villan is the student union building of the Umeå Medical Students’ Association (UMS) and the obvious place to kick off the weekend. Bring your friends and join us for an after-study pub, an afterparty, or why not brighten up your Wednesday with Burgers & Beers! Every week, Villan presents new and exciting events.

Admission
Villan may be the student union building of the Umeå Medical Students’ Association, but everyone is welcome here! The only requirement is that you are a member of one of Umeå’s student unions. You prove your membership by showing your Mecenat card or hitract together with a valid ID at the entrance.
Guest pass
Do you have friends visiting? No problem! For students who are not members of one of Umeå’s student unions, a guest pass is available. A guest pass costs 50 SEK for one day and 70 SEK for one week.
Applications for a guest pass must be submitted no later than two working days before the event for which it will be used.
To apply for a guest pass, email khc@medicinska.se with the first and last name of the student requesting the guest pass, their Swedish personal identity number, and a photo of their student union card.
Event and pricing
Most of our events are free! Please note that the cloakroom at Villan is only staffed during club nights, so leave your valuables at home.

Villan staff
Villan is run by students, for students. Our amazing staff work voluntarily. Working at Villan is fun, and during every shift you have the opportunity to meet students from other programmes while also enjoying staff benefits.
At Villan you can easily sign up to work individual shifts as staff, and if you enjoy it you can become an evening manager. You do not need any previous experience, as you will learn everything you need to know on site. Read more through the links below.

Maybe you would like to arrange a formal dinner for your programme or for the choir you are part of. Villan is the student union building of UMS and you are welcome to book Villan regardless of which programme you study. The possibility to book Villan is also available to those who are members of one of Umeå’s student unions or who have another clear connection to Umeå University.
What events are allowed at Villan?
Events at Villan can be either closed or open. Open events mean that all students are welcome, for example a pub or an after-study pub (EPP). If you want to arrange a closed event, a clear connection to Umeå University is required together with a predetermined guest list. Villan’s operations do not allow you to arrange a private birthday party for your friends.
